In the officer installation ceremony, each color of the candle symbolizes a different office within the organization. The color gray is designated to represent the parliamentarian. This symbolism is significant as it reflects the role of the parliamentarian in ensuring that meetings and operations adhere to established rules and procedures, promoting order and authority within the group. The gray color is often associated with neutrality and balance, which are essential qualities for a parliamentarian tasked with guiding discussions and maintaining decorum during meetings. This tradition helps reinforce the importance of each office and the responsibilities that accompany it, ensuring that members understand the roles of their fellow officers during the ceremony.
